I looked forward to this Christmas Day (yesterday) for so long! Every day since we got home from Florida (Dec. 2, 2011) has been spent decorating or shopping or cooking or wrapping or all of the above in preparation for the big day(yesterday).
My husband’s parents visited a lot when our kids were small, and my Mother-in-Law would always say, “Everything comes and goes” at the end of their visits. I woke this morning thinking the same thing.
I had a great time, with many of the people I love best in this world, yesterday. I hope that you had a great Christmas with people you love as well.
I spent Christmas with My Mom,
Joe (The Love of my Life now and always)
and Angela and Forrest.
It was wonderful and I am so grateful to have spent Christmas with them, words cannot say how grateful!
I also spent lotsof time thinking about those who were in my heart and thoughts, but not in my living room: Jenn & Chris,
(who still don’t have their Christmas packages that were mailed on 12/13 – what’s up with that??? I hate the Prescott USPS!) and Brenna of course.
My Brothers and Sister and their families (I haven’t spent Christmas with these guys since I got married 35 years ago). And last but certainly not least – I didn’t get to spend Christmas with my Daddy – he may have been peeking in on us every now and then from heaven, I don’t know.
I miss you, Daddy, everyday of my life!
Treasure those that you love with all your heart, you don’t know what will happen tomorrow!
Things I’m Thankful for Today:
- I have a husband who knows what I want and knows what I need because he watches me, and listens to me. For instance, he knows I throw license, cards, bills, etc. into the one and only pocket in my purse. He knows they fall out and that I can never find my phone – so he got me a little coach pouch to keep them in. Someone who knows you and loves you anyway….. priceless.
- I get to go to the mall with my Mom today . . . priceless.
Thanks for reading today!
P.S. Well, wouldn’t you know it? I spilled an entire glass of Crystal Light Tea (with lemon) right on my laptop. I am updating this using hubby’s laptop (I have to use it when he’s not which is very very rare). I have a new keyboard on order for my precious laptop and I pray that when it comes, old laptop will be just like new - really, I’ll settle for having it work. Anyway, if you don’t hear from me for a week or so, you’ll know what the problem is. Thank you for your patience and most of all, thank you for checking back.
